Stratus Clean, beyond North America
Stratus beyond North America? Rob wants that conversation.
Stratus Clean grew up in the United States and Canada. The company has said it intends to go further, and Rob Lancit, its Vice President of Franchise Development, is ready to talk with the people who could take it there.Stratus Clean grew up in the United States and Canada.

Where things stand
- Today
- Master franchises in the United States and Canada
- Reported plan
- Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom (Franchise Times, 2023)
- Also listening
- Europe
What has been said
The plan, in the company’s own reporting.
In April 2023 Franchise Times reported that Stratus Building Solutions, now Stratus Clean, had sold a stake to Diversified Royalty, and that CEO Afshin Cangarlu would use capital “to expand internationally, to Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.” (Franchise Times, Beth Ewen, April 27, 2023).
Since then the growth has been at home: new master territories across the United States and Canada, and Entrepreneur’s No. 1 Fastest-Growing Franchise four years running, 2023 to 2026. No international launch has been announced, and this page does not announce one. What it does is open the door early.
Why Rob
Cross-border franchising is the part he already knows.
Rob has worked franchising on both sides of the Canada and United States border, as a consultant, franchisor, franchisee, area developer and executive. Taking a brand into a new country is mostly the work he does every day, done with a different legal system, a different banking system and a different idea of what a cleaning contract looks like.
The master franchise model is the reason the idea travels. A master owns a territory and builds a network of local cleaning franchisees. Masters do not do the cleaning. That structure is how Stratus grew across North America, and it is the structure any new country would start with. How a Stratus master franchise works.
Rob is excited about it, and he would rather hear from the right people now than after a press release.
