FranServe Welcomes Rob Lancit as Executive Vice President
A reader tracing his career between his own companies and Stratus.
In short
This 2021 article by Jessica Jones reports that Rob Lancit had joined FranServe, a franchise consulting organization, as executive vice president the month before. It records where he is from: born and raised in Montreal, 20 years in Vancouver, and then New Jersey.
He gives his reason for joining as the integrity and family culture of the organization, and the two sides of its work: helping people get into business for themselves while helping franchisors expand. He speaks warmly of CEO Alesia Visconti and says she has the consultants’ best interests at heart.
The article fills in his early career. He started in franchising 26 years earlier, taking part in U.S. trade missions to Italy, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and other countries. He launched his own franchise development firm in 2000 and founded a Canadian franchise directory in 2001. He counts among his strengths an understanding of technology and the ability to connect it to business development.
His plan for the role was to bring in more technology to reduce consultants’ workload and help them manage time, including keeping up with customer relationship management tools, and to widen the network of franchisors working with the organization.
“In the simplest of terms, joining the FranServe team in this capacity just felt right.”
